who's that girl standing next to the mayor?

mood: happy.
drink: coffee, black.
music: somaFM: indiepop rocks! station

its only 10 a.m. and i've already been up for four hours. up and about. doing yoga. whats wrong with me.

things im hoping to accomplish today:
1) attend city council meeting (work related-there to support CBO in promoting smokefree movie lines--did you see the surgeon general's report today?)
2) eat japanese food for lunch.
3) play tennis.
4) upload photos to flickr.
5) get permission to take a couple hours off to go to tomorrow's special san jose city council meeting. gonna be juicy.

6) go to "kscu"//more than a feelin' softball game. hopefully lulu will be there so we can hang out.

7) cook that thai curry i've been wanting to cook for some time now.

8) watch the brazil vs. ghana game i replayed (though i doubt i will manage to go the whole day w/o hearing the score--but we'll see). i already knew who was ahead half way through.

9) mail my broken cell phone back to verizon.

10) set up dinner/movie with teesh & joce for tomorrow. girls night out.

have you been following your minds instructions?

mood: uncomfortable.
music: belle & sebastian- the life pursuit.

heartburn sucks. i have been getting it nonstop lately. and i havent been eating really greasy/fatty foods. i dont understand. its completely distracting me... so much that i need to focus on writing this blog. i need some rolaids.

my yoga class was cancelled this morning which pissed me off. it wouldn't have been so bad if it didnt start at 6:30 in the morning. so i went to lou's living donut museum in downtown san jose instead. the place is closing at the end of the month so i HAD to go. the little donut holes are attached to the side. which is so cute.

my birthday is sneaking up on me. gonna be a quarter of a century. yup. not planning anything major--actually im going to go down to santa maria to share my birthday with my nephew--who will be celebrating his first birthday! i can't miss that! he's already started to walk too--which is amazing and scary (well scary for the parents--amusing for me).

but getting back to my birthday, ive been making a mental note of things i want for my birthday (even if its a gift to myself =) so im gonna post it here so i dont forgot (and in case anyone needs an idea) :D
  1. black video ipod (gonna probably be my gift to myself)
  2. a wok.
  3. spice rack.
  4. recipe book (cute empty one so i can put my recipes in it)
  5. yoga mat.
  6. soft beach volleyball.
  7. camera cinemas discount card.
  8. recipe books (healthy, vegetarian recipes)
  9. dvds are always welcomed.
  10. gift certificates as well (forever 21, movies, borders, whatever).

okay. i always take the fact that ive moved onto another cd [libertines-up the bracket (damn that pete doherty)] as a sign to end a blog.

he who is the merchandise whore...

mood: more alert, less full.
music: none. (trying to watch clerks 2 cannes reaction--it was an 8-minute standing ovation.)

actually did get some work done for awhile, but now im back to not working. with only 20 minutes left, i guess that's not so bad.

thought id take the rest of my time to check out the kevin smith blog and noticed he is whoring some new clerks 2 merch. the man has created beer cozies! the most white trash thing on earth. i know, because i grew up around beer cozies which were usually minnesota vikings cozies filled with coors. don't get me wrong, my uncles rule, but yeah.

i just read the merc's review of "the break up" and they SLAMMED it. oh well. i still have to experience it for myself.

i also just read on the yahoo front page that matthew macconaughey and penelope cruz have split up. i didnt even know they were going out. who the hell cares. i have way more important stuff to focus my attention on--like the damned clerks 2 response at cannes!!!

dunno if im gonna be able to make comic-con this year. looks like we might be taking some of our youth whitewater rafting. im scared. i have to sign a waiver that says i could die. i keep imaging being thrown from the raft and smacking my head on a giant rock.

speaking of my head--off the top of my head, the top 2 women i would do if i were gay are: scarlett johanssen and rosario dawson.

on that note. time to head home. peace out.

k-fed's kids will work at taco bell...

mood: food coma.
music: mp3s from various blogs.

i am so full right now i wouldnt be surprised if i pass out in my cubicle. indian buffet for lunch is coma-inducing food for sure. too much nan. too much chicken curry and tikka masala. too much everything. if you want cheap & decent indian buffet though, hit up tandoor next to the 7-11 by the santa clara university campus. the place could really use some more business. plus they always have the finest of television shows on... from i love lucy to the cosby show to roseanne to the andy griffith show.

i am totally in an afternoon friday work mode, where you want to do as little as possible and pretend-work for the rest of the day. i... just... can't... motivate... myself.

im trying to check out some mp3's from the stereogum blog and every stupid link is blocked. dang!

ive recently gotten into the show rescue me, and until last night had been really enjoying it (despite the amount of testosterone the show exudes), but in the episode of season 2 i watched last night (the episode after the son is killed) i just couldnt take anymore! its getting more depressing than six feet under! maybe i'll do better when im caught up to the current season and can watch them one episode at a time. the cast is really great, and in general its pretty darkly funny, but sometimes things HAVE to go right.

darn. the clip of brittany murphy singing won't load! that was going to be the highlight of my day.

date night for me tonight! =) dinner and a movie in downtown LG. is the break up really a date movie? i suppose if they end up staying together then maybe. i adore vince vaughn though. jennifer anniston plays the same role in every movie though, she will always be rachel green. sorry chica.
