im that nerd from that movie...

mood: very tired.
music: none. listening to my thick-accented teacher lecture.

so i was feeling thirsty, so i stopped at the drinking fountain before my pr class. i was taking a drink when all of a sudden the fountain decided it wanted to shoot out at full pressure. yup. my entire face and glasses were sprayed with water, just like on tv or in silly movies. i laughed then looked to see if anyone saw me. when i recognized that no one did, i escaped up the staircase and wiped my face with my sweater sleeve.

boo to sjsu drinking fountains. :)

more brooding and melo-drama on a thursday evening...

mood: happy!!!
music: nada. just the sound of my hungry tummy.

so last nights season premiere of the oc can basically be summed up by the following observations:

- show starts off with a brief re-cap of the dramatic tales of last season, kirsten becomes a drunk, gets into a car accident, father dies, drinks some more, has intervention, goes off to rehab. seth and summer enjoy their romance. ryan's brother comes into town, trys to rape marissa, ryan finds out, tries to kill him, marissa shoots trey (ryan's brother). then starts season 3...
- season begins... trey is in a coma, cuz the writers are too pussy to kill him off.
- police questions all-involved, form a plan to frame ryan for the murder, despite marissa's confession.
- at some point, seth makes witty comment about iTUNES and ryan broods a lot.
- enter julie cooper. aahh. the oc's only remaining villian (rip caleb nichols).
- the widowed mrs. cooper makes some threats, things get all twisty and dramatic, and all this basically ends with the frequently versed marissa line, "stay out of my life."
- observation: marissa looks more waify than ever. and peter gallagher's eyebrows are looking better than ever.
- kirsten doesnt want to leave rehab, because the show needs another villian (which looks to be a mini-kirsten, who is in rehab with her). mini-kirsten villian seems lame. need further proof.
- show basically ends resolved, with trey going away, leaving ryan and marissa to carry on with their boring relationship.

i took my fifteen minute break here at work so that i could call and wish my little (and only) sister a happy birthday. shes 22 today. no answer so i left her a message. i spend my break hanging out in my truck, listening to the end of fanali's movie hop show, and im happy to hear a familiar and loud voice. thats right folks... FACO IS BACK. i missed that guy and his spiderman glove.

any way, their show was ending, so i switched it over to the rewind at noon, and was pleased to hear them reading an email about bob mould... growing up in the household i did, i have my dad to thank for getting me into bands such as husker du, the replacements, wire and generation x. so.. listening to them talk about bob mould... i knew it would either be a husker du, or sugar song. i desperately wanted to hear sugar and worked my voodoo magic, and lo-and-behold, "if i can't change your mind" came on. and this song, is hands down one of my all-time favorite songs, EVER. it made me HAPPY. then the next request was for lenny kravitz, so i took that as a tell-tale sign that my break was over. i cant stand lenny kravitz. bleck.

ive spent the majority of my day so far reading blogs (caught up on the life of kevin smith and discovered that he's doing an episode of joey, and that he is in love w/ veronica mars, and i read some other political blogs that just made me angry, so i stopped), and compiling boxes of materials for tomorrow's park event. my truck is now packed with bibs, first-aid kits and various other freebies.

last night i spent some time going through the many songs from various blogs that ive been wanting to stream/download. ive heard most of the new kayne west album... though in truncated format, since the freebies dont contain the full song, just about half of it. i heard the new ashlee simpson song... "boyfriend". ahahhaha. she rules. the song does sound a little hot hot heat-ish. any way. i watched the subtle video for "FKO", which is rumored to mean, "Fuck Kelly Osbourne", but who knows. that video was rad though. it has a ton of cute little japanese inspired robot/blockhead cartoony stuff. i checked out the bjorkestra-stuff that i think was on the stereogum blog, but i cant be sure. it was a jazzy version of bjorks, "army of me." lastly, i checked out the special tv on the radio tune, "dry drunk emperor" that was recorded and inspired by the events of hurricane katrina. *sigh* i did not vote for the man. there's tons of more stuff i want to check out when i have some time. probably tonite when i get home. YES! a day that ends at 5-o'clock! i am thrilled.

this weekend... hmmm, besides working most of saturday, will be spent catching up on the 10+ chapters i need to read for school, spending time with laura, spending time w/ the gallagher brothers & my boy.

spam has reached an all-new level.

mood: accomplished.
music: the go! team- thunder, lighting, strike.

so its around 6:45 p.m., im still at work. i feel good about this week. i attended every single one of my classes. actually the only class ive missed since school's started was my first lab for my biostats class, due to a doctors appointment. AND i made up the work from last week in today's lab, so =P. i rule.

any way, so today i got a rather annoying text message from a one mr. 95164. it read, "Please use the following URL to download your digital media [web address]." WTF! did i just get a SPAM TEXT MESSAGE?? what in the hell! of course, i am WAY too lazy to type in the bazillion numbers and letters of the URL to see who the company is that actually sent this message. perhaps it's a SPRINT related company, but i dont know. spam text messaging. how freakin' lame.

i'll be working seven hours or so this weekend and the BIG OL' GRAND OPENING of the GUADALUPE RIVER PARK. if you plan on checking it out (there's lots of stuff going on; free admission into childrens discovery museum, lots of food, music, celebrity softball game, etc), any way, if you plan to check it out, stop by the arena green area and visit me at our public health booths (we have like five tables). distractions by friends will help the time pass quickly! PLEASE! plus i might need someone to buy me food, since i only have 46 bucks left in my account and i have to use that to purchase gas. growl.

watched "crimes and misdemeanors" last night, a netflix selection. i think its one of woody allen's better films. i'd seen the first half before, but not the ever-so-uncomfortable conclusion that allen has perfected. that poor neurotic man. well.. he's a poor old gross neurotic man, so whatever. i plan on watching "the machinist" when i get home and being grossed out by how skinny christian bale will look. im sure its going to be a disturbing evening for me. at least i will be getting home around 7 p.m. it'll be the first time ive gotten home before 9 p.m. all week. apart from monday.

i was also highly entertained, though probably more that i should have been, at one of howard's [stern], games today. it was "family fued", daniel carver of the KKK, versus wendy "the retard". yes. i know. VERY HOWARD STERN. i used to be offended by this type of humor when i was 18, but now im older, therefore more bitter and my humor is more cruel. its true. any way... i wished i could have heard more of this game show because it sounded classic. i did manage to hear two of the categories... the first one was, "what names are most offensive to call a Jewish person?", and the other one was "name a job that is often held by retarded people." man. i know.

whatever.

i'm going home now. oh, and season 3 permiere of the OC starts tonite. hell yes bitches.

the weight of the world, falls straight on your shoulders..

mood: drained & hungry
music: her space holiday- the past presents the future

i'm tired. today is a looonng day for me. im hungry. i was running late this morning so i didnt have time to bring something to eat. since i have no money, this poses a problem. so far ive eaten some grapes & a piece of melon (left over by one of my co-workers who left it in the kitchen), and the rest of my mustard pretzels left over from yesterday. thus... i have to wait until i get out of class around 9 p.m. to eat again. blah. so im a little on the tired and cranky side.

then this morning i had a lapse in my memory that for some reason made me think my first class (bowling) was to start at 9 a.m., so i was rushing across campus and got to the student union bowling alley and the door was locked. so i waited around and then they opened it up, and i was sitting around and no one was there. finally some girls came in and i asked them if the teacher planned on showing up, and that was when they reminded me that class actually started at 9:30. oh well. i could have made my self a sandwich or read for some of my classes, but nooooo. i had to be stupid instead.

i do get to go and see oasis for free on sunday though. im excited about that. :)

here's a top ten list of things that would make me happy right now:
1. to go home and eat.
2. to go home and sleep.
3. to go home and watch a netflix.
4. to go home and watch t.v.
5. a thai-iced tea/mocha cooler.
6. a hug.
7. a beer.
8. chili-cheese fries. (i have a craving)
9. hearing the new kanye west album.
10. someone telling me they love me.
